FIRST DAY!!

We had a fabulous first day, but we are tired!  After a long CPR where we played a little, talked a little and did some housekeeping tasks, i.e. bathroom, attendance, schedule, we had our first task. We played Kings in the Corner - a card game with a randomly assigned group of kids. This had all kinds of challenges like understanding the directions, working with an unchosen group and persevering. We did a great job.

We had a great organizing time opposite of one homeroom going to music and the other going to PE. All the cubbies and binders are set up and each person has a homework folder.

The afternoon was library with Mrs. Babbitt and homework.  Homework this week and next will be completed AT SCHOOL, but kids may work more at home if they choose or did not finish for one reason or another.

Homework today was:
Write in your journal about a goal for the year.
Complete a one goal summary for the bulletin board
Read novel
Get paperwork in homework to parents - book orders, picture forms, invite to breakfast TOMORROW, our schedule

PLEASE come to breakfast tomorrow. We will have permission slips for upcoming trips and talk about a potential trip to Ottawa.
