Today we progressed with our Global Read Aloud (The Wild Robot) and posted again to writeabout.com, but this time with an illustration. We did not all get finished, so we will tomorrow. We are practicing and learning about the site.
I see a lot of pangea puzzles going on in science.
In LA, we worked on our second personal narrative. We spent a while reviewing the checklist that Ms. Lamb completed for everyone on their first personal narrative. Even though there were no compliments on each piece due to time constraints (trying to assess 38 pieces in one night), they were all pretty great first efforts. Now we know more of the particular expectations and we all have a great new idea.

No math tonight
We had a brief discussion at closing meeting regarding the terrible tragedies of the week including the mass shooting in Las Vegas. We talked about what was known at this point and the dangers of getting overwhelmed with fear or hearsay about the circumstances.
