I just realized I never hit publish on yesterday's blog. Oops.
Today was our second late start day. We got a lot done considering the cramped schedule. In LA we took a pre-assessment for our fantasy reading unit. We read a story and watched a video and responded to some questions.
In the afternoon we all went to the library together and Mrs. Babbitt told us about some great resources on the library web page. Overdrive is the newest one. We can download e books and audio books!!
In social studies, Ms. Lamb convinced the class that she is ACTUALLY going to check the journal writing homework and you ACTUALLY need to do it. We will have a journal prompt Monday through Friday. You can write to it (7 minutes of writing 3/4 page to whole page unless you are getting your poetry on) OR you can write to your own topic. If it is a required topic, you will know.
So far:
Monday - required - write something about Mills River Park
Tuesday - write about an island
Wednesday - Write about survival
Tonight's homework:
Math - 4.1 I think - this was on the board and I can't remember it
LA: Journal prompt
Read for 30 minutes
